Great podcast. Just had to comment about the tail end of the conversation when Hassan? & Satnam talk about Canada and its connection to the Empire. As a South Asian Canadian/American who grew up in Montreal in the 70's, I recall a tension between nostalgic anglophilia and the lure of US culture, Quebecois asserting themselves as full citizens, and what now seems an anachronistic influence of historic Protestant and Catholic conflicts coloring where you lived, went to school, and the hospitals too. The rest of us .. ie not Protestant English and Catholic French, were kind of marginal at that time.
